The Programming Switch

Where is it?

XK Series

XK Series

On XK series X–keys, a momentary push button at the center of the top edge of the device serves as a programming switch. The switch will open and close MacroWorks 3.1 for programming the device. Some XK-series devices do not have an accessible programming switch. For those devices MacroWorks 3.1 must be opened from the Windows task bar.

Classic X-keys

On the X–keys Desktop, Pro, Joystick Pro, and Jog & Shuttle Pro, a rocker switch in the upper right corner serves as the programming switch.

The switch is in “Operating Position” when the red dot is hidden, and in “Programming Position” when the red dot is visible.

Stick

Stick

On the X–keys Classic Stick, and XK-16 Stick, a slide switch on the left side, next to the cord serves as the programming switch.

The switch is in “Operating Position” when it is away from the cord, and in “Programming Position” when it is toward the cord.

Foot Pedal

On the X–keys Classic Foot Pedal, a slide switch on the circuit board, under the center pedal serves as the programming switch.

NOTE: the new XK-3 Foot Pedals have no programming switch.

Use a non-conductive implement (a popsicle stick or coffee stirrer for example) to change the position of the switch if required.

The switch is in “Operating Position” when it is to the left, and in “Programming Position” when it is to the right.

Carefully pry the center pedal up until you can see the circuit board. The switch is to the left of green and red LED indicators.

On the X–keys Switch Interface, a slide switch on the back side of the case serves as the programming switch.

NOTE: the new USB 12 Switch Interface have no programming switch.

The switch is in “Operating Position” when it is to the right, and in “Programming Position” when it is to the left.

Matrix Board

On the X–keys Matrix Board, a slide switch on the circuit board, next to the LEDs serves as the programming switch.

The switch is in “Operating Position” when it is to the left (away from the LEDs), and in “Programming Position” when it is to the right (toward the LEDs).

The Button Panel

On the X–keys Button Panel, a slide switch on the back of the unit serves as the programming switch.

The switch is in “Operating Position” when it is away from the LEDs, and in “Programming Position” when it is towards the LEDs.
