Re: Train Sim World Support

Hi Cathy,

We expect them to put the RailDriver into the full release (NOT the beta). After that point, most likely, our team will need to do some development. We expect that to take about a month, but there is no official estimate until we know what we need to do.

Re: Train Sim World Support

PIE Amber,
I assume you meant "put TSW into full release"?!
But glad to read that you are planning to develop the firmware to work with TSW.
Is that likely to compromise any compatibility with TS2017?
Maybe we will need to load a different set depending which we want to play.

Re: Train Sim World Support

I meant they would include RailDriver in the full release of TSW. I can see why my phrasing was a little confusing.

It should not affect compatibility with TS2017 at all. Most likely we will have different script templates to choose from depending on your simulator. Once we have details of what's going on with TSW, we'll be able to give you guys a better idea of what the solution will look like. We definitely do not want to break compatibility with TS2017, though, so rest assured we are thinking about that.

Re: Train Sim World Support

Thanks, I understand.
I don't have RailDriver (but I have just bought it based on my, now, frequent use of TS2017).
I am sure I will continue to use 17 for some while, until the range of routes available for TSW expands substantially.
Although I imagine there will be a, transition, period when I would like to use RailDriver on either.

Re: Train Sim World Support

I'm bumping this post since a duplicate post was made by one of the same users.

The word from Dovetail is not at release, but soon thereafter. We need to work with them in order to make it work, so we're waiting to see what happens on their end. We do not have a definitive answer. That said, we have confidence that they will hold up their end of it. I wish I had a more definitive answer for you.
