Create Shortcuts

Hello.
Can I create hot keys for software functions even though they have no shortcuts?

Example.
I use Davinci Resolve, and I have access to some functions only through the menu ... (see image)

Davinci

Can I create some kind of macro that makes the keys of my Xkey understand this?

Thank you!

Re: Create Shortcuts

Typically you could do a string of keystrokes anyway. For example, usually you can select a menu with a hotkey, then use the correct number of arrow keys to move down in the menu. You'll have to play with timing when manipulating interfaces like that, though. Doing it all at once won't give the menus time to respond. I'd suggest something like:

Re: Create Shortcuts

I don't know exactly what keystrokes will open the menu you need, but I know it's possible. Check into the keyboard accessibility stuff for your version of the OS and you should be able to find how to get keyboard focus on the menu bar and work from there.

(Sorry for the many posts, the forum software is being a bit wonky.)
